Karl Rove Goes to Hawaii

Who's Karl Pissing Off This Time?

Like you, I receive a LOT of email newsletters.  Newsletters from favorite charities, trade organizations, vendors, and fun destinations* are the norm; and I hope "Constant Contact" is not an ALEC organization, or I will have to delete 80% of my in box.

(*Recall, if a GOPher wins 2012 we are all seeking political asylum... hence newsletters from New Zealand, Aruba, Australia, and the BVI's are wholly appropriate.)

This little gem sitting in my "in box" this morning just begged to be shared.  Side remarks noted in blue. Not sure why an organization with members everywhere along the political spectrum would choose someone so blatantly partisan, but then again, it is not MY PR nightmare to deal with.  Good luck with that.

Hope you get a chuckle over your morning coffee as I did.  Maybe Mr. & Mrs. Underpants SHOULD go Hawaii...just to see Turdblossom get ....Lei-ed :-)  Do you think he'll impersonate Elvis and Sing "Rock-A-Hula" for the Builders?

Keynote Speaker: Karl RoveWednesday, March 14, 2012

Karl Rove, former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush
Rove has been described by respected author and columnist Michael Barone in U.S. News & World Report as “…unique…(is that damning with faint praise or...no?) no Presidential appointee has ever had such a strong influence on politics and policy, (No President has been as d-u-m-b as W hence requiring strong influence....) and none is likely to do so again anytime soon.” Washington Post columnist David Broder has called Rove a master political strategist whose “game has always been long term…and he plays it with an intensity and attention to detail that few can match.” Fred Barnes, executive editor of The Weekly Standard, has called Rove “the greatest political mind of his generation and probably of any generation… (Fred Barnes is a bloomin' idiot - It's Turdblossom for Chrissakes...greatest mind my ass) He knows history, (oh that is rich) understands the moods of the public, (because Rush Tells him) and is a visionary on matters of public policy.” Visionary? Who wrote this? Some AGC intern is going to be in a lot of trouble?

Before Rove became known as “The Architect” of President Bush’s 2000 and 2004 campaigns, he was president of Karl Rove + Company, an Austin-based (Hey Austin - Karl does NOT count for "Keep Austin Weird" - just saying...) public affairs firm that worked for Republican candidates, non-partisan causes, and non-profit groups. His clients included over 75 Republican U.S. Senate, Congressional, and gubernatorial candidates in 24 states, as well as the Moderate Party of Sweden. (Sweden? Really? Not enough RWNJ in the US, Karl had to go abroad?)

Rove writes a weekly op-ed for the Wall Street Journal and is the author of the newly released New York Times Bestseller, Courage and Consequence: My Life as a Conservative in the Fight.

  2. You'll enjoy my little video I made about two of my favorite Michael Moore skirmishes on CNN and Fox. Turns out MM was absolutely right about the war in Fahrenheit 911. http://www.ronaldteejohnson.com
